RightScale with Amazon EC2
by Mark on Nov.19, 2008, under Site Maintenance
I have been working a lot with Right Scale service and Amazon EC2 over the last few weeks. One of the most interesting aspects of using the Right Scale platform is their server provisioning with “Server Templates” and “Right Scripts“. These give you the ability to take a plain EC2 virtual image and start it up in less than ten minutes with all your data and software setup and customized. These work as a combination of scripts that are run at machine boot, machine decommission, and during normal operations.
